You are not alone. There are others like you.

As someone advised, try to take on a variety of writing assignments if
you're in a permanent job. If you end up looking for a new job:

- Work with a team of writers rather than being the lone writer. Check out
the other writers during the job interview to ensure that some of them are
outgoing and sociable.
- Get a job with a consulting firm. You'll always be working on different
projects in different locations and you'll also be traveling. Life will not
be dull.
- Work as a contractor and take assignments in which the pace is fast and
you aren't the only writer.
