Wearing my publisher's hat, I'd suggest researching your target readers.

If they are all anal retentives sitting in cubicles (like I did for years)
then they are OK about filing amendments--give them 3-ring binders.

Action types will *never* file amendments (although they may pay someone
else to do so)--give them perfect bound every time, regardless of cost.

I mean, you do want your magnum opus to be read/used by the punters, doncha?
