Seconded. "Anon" mentioned that one other writer already left for another
higher-paying company, from which I'd tend to infer that the current
company declined to pay her as much. That in itself indicates that this
company is not as likely to pony up when they can get someone else
cheaper. It, and the other factors mentioned, also indicate that the
grass may well be greener (pardon the pun) elsewhere in the region. If
money in indeed Anon's primary motivation, it's probably time to move on.
(Personally, I'd prefer to work for less in a company or site that I
enjoy, rather than suffer through the day for a few dollars more [okay, so
there was a Clint Eastwood spaghetti-western marathon on TV the other day;
so sue me].)
