CYGNUS SOLUTIONS

Producer of software developer's tools is looking for an experienced
technical writer.
The position will be located at either the company site in Toronto,
Canada, or the
site in Cambridge, UK.

Requirements include:

* a minimum of 2-3 years writing experience in a software development
environment,
working successfully with developers, and generating information for a
technical
audience;

* familiar with FrameMaker (Windows or UNIX), including generation of
books, indexes,
and HTML files would be preferred

* excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.

Familiarity with SGML, online help, and GUI-based applications is a
plus; experience writing for embedded systems software is a big plus.

Responsibilities include:

* working closely with engineers and product specialists to edit and
update
existing documentation as well as to write new documentation;

* maintaining effective work relationships within and outside the
Publications
Department;

* taking ownership of and completing assigned documentation projects by
required
deadlines.

The position is permanent. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
