Subject:EGROUPS vs. payments From:William Swallow <WSWALLOW -at- COMMSOFT -dot- NET> Date:Mon, 9 Aug 1999 10:48:26 -0400
I know I caved in last week and mentioned that I would stoop to paying $5 or
$10 a year for this list... but I was on a long weekend and I thought about
it for a while... I haven't posted a question to this list in ages. I'd be
paying to help other people out. I may have a question for the group
sometime in the future, but for the most part I just help out those I can
when I can. I know there are many others like me out there.
I had suggested moving the list to eGroups about a week ago. I have had a
lot of success with it. Frankly, I like eGroups better than a message board
because I have more tools to use with eGroups AND I can choose how I receive
my messages: e-mail, e-mail digest, e-mail synopsis, web only.
Anyhow, I really hope eGroups is considered. It would be FREE and it would
be better than another e-mail service or (eek!) a message board.
