We did use the term Web application.

"BLAHBLAH 1.0.1 is a Web application that
enables users to query, retrieve and view blah and blah from a BLAHoBLAXo
server, using standard Internet browsers. BLAHBLAH 1.0.1 assumes that
BLAHoBLAXo server is installed and running. If you wish to view blah,
BLAH_AND_BLAH_ 2.0 must be installed on the server.
