Evan,

If you're using Dreamweaver, the library files will sort this out.

Alternatively if your ISP supports SSI (server side includes) then you
can use SSI. (You'd have to call your page SHTML or create a .htaccess
file to allow HTM and HTML extensions to be processed by the SSI
Server).

Also, if your ISP supports PHP, then you can do a PHP include within
your HTML.

Note: Library files in Dreamweaver might be the preferred (easier
option), but if your ISP supports PHP then use PHP.

Take a look at http://www.webmonkey.com as it's a pretty good resource
for building web sites.

Cheers,

Rob Wisbey.

Subject: HTML/Web design question

Here's a web programming question. I'm fairly inexperienced with web
design, but I want to be able have my web pages display a footer that I
can maintain in a single file. So when I change the text in the
"footer" file, the footer will change on all of the pages that contain
this footer.

I'm sure this is possible, but is it basic enough for me to do? I'm
using Dreamweaver.

Thanks

Evan Martin
