Background:
I have a RH X3 project that, when generating a Printed Doc, equaled a doc of
445 pages. This program that I'm documenting has 20 icons, each icon opens a
new window. I consider each window a "chapter." With a lot of graphics and
an ever-increasing amount of content, I wanted to provide both a "chapter"
as well as the comprehensive 445 page doc.

To do this, I (successfully!!) merged 26 Word 97 files into a single Word 97
file using RD fields. I have TOC and an Index that reflects the page numbers
as if the 26 files were all in one Word 97 document.

Current problem that I need tips or tricks to help me solve:
I'm on to "delivering" this Word doc as a single PDF So far I have failed in
this task.

I have tried the following:
1. tried to use the macro outlined here:
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=148. This gives
me 26 PDF files. <blah>
2. Changed Tools ==> Options ==> Print tab to include hidden text, set my
printer to Acrobat Distiller and clicked "Convert to Adobe PDF." This
printed my 'shell' doc with all my RD fields visible. <blah>

The only answer I've received so far was that I have to *manually* insert
the individual PDFs into a 'shell' PDF.

Does anyone have another answer?

Those that say it can't be done should move out of the way of those that are
doing it.
