Hi all:

I am using data flow diagrams as the basis for what will ultimately be a automated graphics driven tool to help developers, help desk, etc. go from the general to the specific in understanding company systems. I currently have child diagrams that go down to 3 to 4 levels (about 40 diagrams). I anticipate ultimately drilling down to about 5 or 6 levels (about 60 diagrams). Are there any other tools for doing data flow diagrams besides Visio. In particular, a tool that supports the decomposition of data flows between parent and child diagrams would really help.

Thanks,

Richard Lewis
