Hi Matt

Speaking of only Adobe RoboHelp here. I know nothing of any other HAT.

Customizing WebHelp skins with RoboHelp has pretty much always been a breeze. Adobe now allows help authors to customize colors and Icons for their proprietary AIR Help output if you choose that avenue. And if FlashHelp is your affinity, be prepared to dig into Adobe Flash if you wish to customize any colors or imagery there. Although there is a gallery of different skins to choose from.

Both Flare and RoboHelp have their online help on the Web, so you can compare them, both as help and also as examples of their different, proprietary WebHelp output:

Good tutorials don't make Flare's online help any better organized, or its search engine any better, or its UI any less cluttered. Not that RoboHelp is necessarily any better, I'm just grumbling about one of the devils I know.
