Thanks everyone. I appreciate the comments. Does anyone have any comment on customizing the output beyond changing colors and icons for RH or Flare. Virtually of the examples I have found, use the basic 3 pane layout.

Both Flare and RoboHelp have their online help on the Web, so you can compare them, both as help and also as examples of their different, proprietary WebHelp output:

Good tutorials don't make Flare's online help any better organized, or its search engine any better, or its UI any less cluttered. Not that RoboHelp is necessarily any better, I'm just grumbling about one of the devils I know.
