I thought the goal of a well written manual was to write it so that
the people needing it don't have to read it all, practically. So, not
having one's manual read might almost be taken as a compliment. Maybe a
glance at the index or a single page here and there is all anybody needs.
It's not like it's the great American novel or anything, and the whole
point is to make the need to read unnecessary, isn't it?
Am I missing a major point here, or what?
